Description
PD-L1/CD274 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB21443)
The PD-L1 (CD274) Polyclonal Antibody (CAB21443) is a valuable tool for researchers studying the PD-L1 protein, a key regulator of the immune response. This antibody, produced in rabbits, is highly specific to human samples and has been validated for use in Western blotting applications. By binding to the PD-L1 protein, this antibody enables researchers to detect and analyze PD-L1 expression in various cell types, making it an essential tool for studies in immunology and cancer research.PD-L1, also known as programmed death-ligand 1, plays a crucial role in regulating the immune response by inhibiting T-cell activation and promoting immune tolerance.
Dysregulation of PD-L1 has been implicated in various diseases, including cancer, autoimmune disorders, and infectious diseases. Therefore, understanding the expression and function of PD-L1 is essential for developing targeted therapies that modulate the immune response in these conditions.Overall, the PD-L1 (CD274) Polyclonal Antibody (CAB21443) is a reliable reagent for researchers investigating the role of PD-L1 in immune regulation and disease pathology. Its high specificity and validated performance make it an invaluable tool for advancing our understanding of PD-L1 biology and its therapeutic implications.

This gene encodes an immune inhibitory receptor ligand that is expressed by hematopoietic and non-hematopoietic cells, such as T cells and B cells and various types of tumor cells. The encoded protein is a type I transmembrane protein that has immunoglobulin V-like and C-like domains. Interaction of this ligand with its receptor inhibits T-cell activation and cytokine production. During infection or inflammation of normal tissue, this interaction is important for preventing autoimmunity by maintaining homeostasis of the immune response. In tumor microenvironments, this interaction provides an immune escape for tumor cells through cytotoxic T-cell inactivation. Expression of this gene in tumor cells is considered to be prognostic in many types of human malignancies, including colon cancer and renal cell carcinoma. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
