HIST2H2BE Recombinant Protein

The main component of chromatin, histones are a complex family of highly conserved basic biomolecules that play a key role in packaging chromosomal DNA into nucleosomes. Histone proteins exhibit two levels of diversity: 1. evolutionary diversity between species and 2. subtype diversity in a class(H1, H2A, H2B, H3 or H4) within a species. It's becoming increasingly apparent that histone modifications are important players in chromatin states and dynamics, as well as gene expression. As a result, histone modifications and enzymatic machineries that control them are key regulators that regulate cellular proliferation, differentiation, flexibility, and malignancy processes. However, extracellular histones have two drawbacks: they can damage host tissue and induce cell death. Induced calcium influx, binding of histones to platelets, and the recruitment of plasma adhesive proteins such as fibrinogen to induce platelet aggregation all occur. Histone H2B proteins have been investigated in many species and are readily identified in most species. Reversible ubiquitylation of histone H2B has long been implicated in transcriptional activation and gene silencing. H2B serine 32 is phosphorylated in normal cycling and stimulated cells. This phosphorylation is notably higher in skin cancer cell lines and tissues than in corresponding normal ones. Histone H2B-E is a member of the histone H2B family and generates two transcripts via the use of the conserved stem-loop termination motif, as well as a polyA addition motif. HIST2H2BE Recombinant Protein is a highly pure recombinant protein developed by Assay Genie for use in a range of applications.
