The Anti-TORC2 Antibody (CAB20893) is a valuable tool for researchers studying the TORC2 signaling pathway, which plays a crucial role in cell growth, metabolism, and survival. This polyclonal antibody, produced in rabbits, is highly specific for TORC2 and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. By targeting the TORC2 protein, this antibody enables researchers to investigate the molecular mechanisms underlying TORC2-mediated cellular processes in various cell types.TORC2, also known as target of rapamycin complex 2, is a key regulator of cell growth and metabolism, making it an attractive target for cancer research and studies on metabolic diseases.
By understanding how TORC2 functions and interacts with other signaling pathways, researchers can gain insights into potential therapeutic targets for cancer and metabolic disorders. The Anti-TORC2 Antibody provides a valuable tool for investigating the role of TORC2 in normal cellular function and disease, paving the way for future advancements in the field of cell biology and drug development.

This gene encodes a member of the transducers of regulated cAMP response element-binding protein activity family of transcription coactivators. These proteins promote the transcription of genes targeted by the cAMP response element-binding protein, and therefore play an important role in many cellular processes. Under basal conditions the encoded protein is phosphorylated by AMP-activated protein kinase or the salt-inducible kinases and is sequestered in the cytoplasm. Upon activation by elevated cAMP or calcium, the encoded protein translocates to the nucleus and increases target gene expression. Single nucleotide polymorphisms in this gene may increase the risk of type 2 diabetes. A pseudogene of this gene is located on the long arm of chromosome 5.
