ASFV p54/pE183L Recombinant Protein (C-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in mammalian cells, spanning Ser53-Leu184, with a C-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 16.87 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Inner membrane protein p54 (pE183L) is a ~19 kDa protein. Seems to induce caspase-3 activation and apoptosis. Plays a role in virion morphogenesis by recruiting and transforming the host ER membranes into the precursors of the viral envelope. Involved in virus attachment to the host cell.
