Description
dCTP solution for PCR
dCTP (100 mM) is a high-purity, single-nucleotide dCTP solution for PCR, sequencing, labelling and other molecular biology reactions that require individual deoxynucleotides.
Supplied at 100 mM (100 mmol/l) as a sodium salt solution at pH 7.0–9.0, it lets you prepare dNTP mixes at the concentrations your reaction needs. Purity is >99% by HPLC, and the solution is free of PCR, qPCR and reverse transcription inhibitors. It is suitable for PCR, real-time PCR, RT-PCR, cDNA or general DNA synthesis, primer extension, DNA sequencing and DNA labelling. For research use only.

- Prepare the dNTPs
- Combine dNTPs, or use them individually, at the concentrations your amplification reaction requires.
- Add to the reaction
- Standard 50 μl PCR: use 0.1 μl of dCTP (100 mM).
- Standard 20 μl RT reaction: use 0.1 μl of dCTP (100 mM).
Q1: How much dCTP should I add to a reaction?
- Use 0.1 μl of the 100 mM solution in a standard 50 μl PCR or a standard 20 μl reverse transcription reaction.
Q2: What is the formulation?
- A 100 mM dCTP sodium salt solution at pH 7.0–9.0, with >99% purity by HPLC.
