Description
Dog VEGFA Recombinant Protein (C-Strep)
Dog VEGFA Recombinant Protein (C-Strep) is a recombinant protein expressed in mammalian cells, spanning Ala27-Arg190, with a C-terminal Strep tag. Predicted molecular weight: 22.26 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Vascular endothelial growth factor A is a ~25 kDa protein. Growth factor active in angiogenesis, vasculogenesis and endothelial cell growth. For research use only.
Induces endothelial cell proliferation, promotes cell migration, inhibits apoptosis and induces permeabilization of blood vessels. Binds to the FLT1/VEGFR1 and KDR/VEGFR2 receptors, heparan sulfate and heparin. Binding to NRP1 receptor initiates a signaling pathway needed for motor neuron axon guidance and cell body migration, including for the caudal migration of facial motor neurons from rhombomere 4 to rhombomere 6 during embryonic development. Also binds the DEAR/FBXW7-AS1 receptor.
