EHV-1 SCP Recombinant Protein (N-His)
EHV-1 SCP Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Pro11-Asp119, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 14.79 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Small capsomere-interacting protein is a ~13 kDa protein. Participates in the assembly of the infectious particles by decorating the outer surface of the capsid shell and thus forming a layer between the capsid and the tegument. For research use only.
Complexes composed of the major capsid protein and small capsomere-interacting protein/SCP assemble together in the host cytoplasm and are translocated to the nucleus, where they accumulate and participate in capsid assembly.
