Foravirumab Antibody is a research-grade biosimilar monoclonal antibody targeting G/Glycoprotein. It is a human IgG1, kappa antibody. Reactivity: Rabies virus (RABV). Supplied as a liquid in 0.01M PBS pH 7.4. Applications: ELISA, flow cytometry, functional assays and in vivo research. Endotoxin: < 10 EU/mg. Purity: >95% purity as determined by SDS-PAGE. For research use only.
Glycoprotein is a ~58 kDa protein. Attaches the virus to host cellular receptor, inducing endocytosis of the virion by using different host proteins including TFRC, GRM2 and ITGB1. In the endosome, the acidic pH induces conformational changes in the glycoprotein trimer, which trigger fusion between virus and cell membrane. There is convincing in vitro evidence that the muscular form of the nicotinic acetylcholine receptor (nAChR), the neuronal cell adhesion molecule (NCAM), and the p75 neurotrophin receptor (p75NTR) bind glycoprotein and thereby facilitate rabies virus entry into cells.
