Gevokizumab Antibody

Gevokizumab Antibody is a research-grade biosimilar monoclonal antibody targeting Interleukin-1 beta. It is a humanized IgG2-kappa antibody. Reactivity: Human. Supplied as a liquid in 0.01M PBS pH 7.4. Applications: ELISA, flow cytometry, functional assays and in vivo research. Endotoxin: < 10 EU/mg. Purity: >95% as determined by SDS-PAGE. For research use only.

Interleukin-1 beta (Interleukin-1 beta,IL1B,Catabolin,IL1F2,IL-1 beta) is a ~30 kDa protein. Potent pro-inflammatory cytokine. Initially discovered as the major endogenous pyrogen, induces prostaglandin synthesis, neutrophil influx and activation, T-cell activation and cytokine production, B-cell activation and antibody production, and fibroblast proliferation and collagen production. Promotes Th17 differentiation of T-cells. Synergizes with IL12/interleukin-12 to induce IFNG synthesis from T-helper 1 (Th1) cells. Plays a role in angiogenesis by inducing VEGF production synergistically with TNF and IL6.
