Human ABCB10 Recombinant Protein (N-His)

Human ABCB10 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Leu492-Ala738, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 29.14 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. ATP-binding cassette sub-family B member 10, mitochondrial (ABCB10) is a ~79 kDa protein. ATP-dependent transporter located in the mitochondrial inner membrane that catalyzes the export of biliverdin from the mitochondrial matrix, and plays a crucial role in hemoglobin synthesis and antioxidative stress. For research use only.

Participates in the early step of the heme biosynthetic process during insertion of iron into protoporphyrin IX (PPIX). Involved in the stabilization of the iron transporter mitoferrin-1/SLC25A37. In addition may be involved in mitochondrial unfolded protein response (UPRmt) signaling pathway, although ABCB10 probably does not participate in peptide export from mitochondria.
