Description
Human ABCD3 Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human ABCD3 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Pro425-Ser659, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 29 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. ATP-binding cassette sub-family D member 3 (ABCD3) is a ~75 kDa protein. Broad substrate specificity ATP-dependent transporter of the ATP-binding cassette (ABC) family that catalyzes the transport of long-chain fatty acids (LCFA)-CoA, dicarboxylic acids-CoA, long-branched-chain fatty acids-CoA and bile acids from the cytosol to the peroxisome lumen for beta-oxydation. For research use only.
Has fatty acyl-CoA thioesterase and ATPase activities. Probably hydrolyzes fatty acyl-CoAs into free fatty acids prior to their ATP-dependent transport into peroxisomes. Thus, play a role in regulation of LCFAs and energy metabolism namely, in the degradation and biosynthesis of fatty acids by beta-oxidation.
