Description
Human ABR Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human ABR Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Ile285-Ser628, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 41.98 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Active breakpoint cluster region-related protein is a ~97 kDa protein. Protein with a unique structure having two opposing regulatory activities toward small GTP-binding proteins. For research use only.
The C-terminus is a GTPase-activating protein domain which stimulates GTP hydrolysis by RAC1, RAC2 and CDC42. Accelerates the intrinsic rate of GTP hydrolysis of RAC1 or CDC42, leading to down-regulation of the active GTP-bound form. The central Dbl homology (DH) domain functions as a guanine nucleotide exchange factor (GEF) that modulates the GTPases CDC42, RHOA and RAC1. Promotes the conversion of CDC42, RHOA and RAC1 from the GDP-bound to the GTP-bound form.
