Description
Human ACSL4 Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human ACSL4 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Asp77-Ile262, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 23.20 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Long-chain-fatty-acid--CoA ligase 4 is a ~79 kDa protein. Catalyzes the conversion of long-chain fatty acids to their active form acyl-CoA for both synthesis of cellular lipids, and degradation via beta-oxidation. For research use only.
Preferentially activates arachidonate and eicosapentaenoate as substrates. Preferentially activates 8,9-EET > 14,15-EET > 5,6-EET > 11,12-EET. Modulates glucose-stimulated insulin secretion by regulating the levels of unesterified EETs. Modulates prostaglandin E2 secretion.
