Human ACSS3 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Asn111-Asp557, with an N-terminal His tag. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Acyl-CoA synthetase short-chain family member 3, mitochondrial is a ~74 kDa protein. Catalyzes the synthesis of acetyl-CoA from short-chain fatty acids. For research use only.
Propionate is the preferred substrate. Can utilize acetate and butyrate with a much lower affinity.
