Human ADIPOR1 Recombinant Protein (N-His-KSI) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Ser2-Gly136, with an N-terminal His-KSI tag. Predicted molecular weight: 31.13 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Adiponectin receptor protein 1 is a ~42 kDa protein. Receptor for ADIPOQ, an essential hormone secreted by adipocytes that regulates glucose and lipid metabolism. For research use only.
Required for normal glucose and fat homeostasis and for maintaining a normal body weight. ADIPOQ-binding activates a signaling cascade that leads to increased AMPK activity, and ultimately to increased fatty acid oxidation, increased glucose uptake and decreased gluconeogenesis. Has high affinity for globular adiponectin and low affinity for full-length adiponectin.
