Human AK3 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Leu8-Pro227, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 27.17 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. GTP:AMP phosphotransferase AK3, mitochondrial is a ~25 kDa protein. Mitochondrial adenylate kinase with a specific GTP:AMP phosphotransferase activity. For research use only.
Could also use ITP as phosphate donor. Its physiological function is to recycle GTP into GDP which is necessary for the TCA cycle in the mitochondrial matrix (Probable).
