Human AKAP8L Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Thr354-Gly565, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 27.35 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. A-kinase anchor protein 8-like (AKAP8L) is a ~71 kDa protein. Could play a role in constitutive transport element (CTE)-mediated gene expression by association with DHX9. For research use only.
Increases CTE-dependent nuclear unspliced mRNA export. Proposed to target PRKACA to the nucleus but does not seem to be implicated in the binding of regulatory subunit II of PKA. May be involved in nuclear envelope breakdown and chromatin condensation. May be involved in anchoring nuclear membranes to chromatin in interphase and in releasing membranes from chromating at mitosis.
