Human AKR1C1 ELISA Kit

AKR1C1 is part of the aldo/keto reductase superfamily, which includes over 40 recognised enzymes and proteins. These enzymes use NADH and/or NADPH as cofactors to catalyse the conversion of aldehydes and ketones to their corresponding alcohols. Progesterone is converted to the inactive form 20-alpha-hydroxy-progesterone by AKR1C1. AKR1C1 is grouped with three other genes on chromosome 10p15-p14 and shares a high level of sequence similarity with them. Lipedema and Developmental Dysplasia Of The Hip 1 are two diseases linked to AKR1C1. Oxcarbazepine Pathway, Pharmacokinetics, and Verapamil Pathway, Pharmacokinetics are two of the related routes associated with AKR1C1.
