Description
Human ALDH3A1 Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human ALDH3A1 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Met1-His453, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 52.56 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Aldehyde dehydrogenase, dimeric NADP-preferring (ALDH3A1) is a ~50 kDa protein. ALDHs play a major role in the detoxification of alcohol-derived acetaldehyde (Probable). For research use only.
They are involved in the metabolism of corticosteroids, biogenic amines, neurotransmitters, and lipid peroxidation (Probable). Oxidizes medium and long chain aldehydes into non-toxic fatty acids. Preferentially oxidizes aromatic aldehyde substrates. Comprises about 50 percent of corneal epithelial soluble proteins.
