Description
Human AP1G1 Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human AP1G1 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Met1-Arg577, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 67.52 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. AP-1 complex subunit gamma-1 (AP1G1) is a ~91 kDa protein. Subunit of clathrin-associated adaptor protein complex 1 that plays a role in protein sorting in the late-Golgi/trans-Golgi network (TGN) and/or endosomes. For research use only.
The AP complexes mediate both the recruitment of clathrin to membranes and the recognition of sorting signals within the cytosolic tails of transmembrane cargo molecules. In association with AFTPH/aftiphilin in the aftiphilin/p200/gamma-synergin complex, involved in the trafficking of transferrin from early to recycling endosomes, and the membrane trafficking of furin and the lysosomal enzyme cathepsin D between the trans-Golgi network (TGN) and endosomes.
