Description
Human API5 Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human API5 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Pro2-Phe360, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 42.75 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Apoptosis inhibitor 5 (API5) is a ~59 kDa protein. Antiapoptotic factor that may have a role in protein assembly. For research use only.
Negatively regulates ACIN1. By binding to ACIN1, it suppresses ACIN1 cleavage from CASP3 and ACIN1-mediated DNA fragmentation. Also known to efficiently suppress E2F1-induced apoptosis. Its depletion enhances the cytotoxic action of the chemotherapeutic drugs.
