Human APOA5 Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human APOA5 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Met1-Pro366, with an N-terminal His tag. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Apolipoprotein A-V is a ~41 kDa protein. Minor apolipoprotein mainly associated with HDL and to a lesser extent with VLDL. For research use only.
May also be associated with chylomicrons. Important determinant of plasma triglyceride (TG) levels by both being a potent stimulator of apo-CII lipoprotein lipase (LPL) TG hydrolysis and an inhibitor of the hepatic VLDL-TG production rate (without affecting the VLDL-apoB production rate). Activates poorly lecithin:cholesterol acyltransferase (LCAT) and does not enhance efflux of cholesterol from macrophages. Binds heparin.
