Description
Human ARPP19 Recombinant Protein (N-His-SUMO & C-Strep)
Human ARPP19 Recombinant Protein (N-His-SUMO & C-Strep) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Ser2-Leu77, with an N-terminal His-SUMO tag and a C-terminal Strep tag. Predicted molecular weight: 22.08 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. cAMP-regulated phosphoprotein 19 (ARPP19) is a ~12 kDa protein. Protein phosphatase inhibitor that specifically inhibits protein phosphatase 2A (PP2A) during mitosis. For research use only.
Inhibition of PP2A is enhanced when ARPP19 is phosphorylated. When phosphorylated at Ser-62 during mitosis, specifically interacts with PPP2R2D (PR55-delta) and inhibits its activity, leading to inactivation of PP2A, an essential condition to keep cyclin-B1-CDK1 activity high during M phase. May indirectly enhance GAP-43 expression.
