Description
Human ASGR2 Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human ASGR2 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Met1-Ala311, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 37.25 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Asialoglycoprotein receptor 2 (ASGR2) is a ~35 kDa protein. Mediates the endocytosis of plasma glycoproteins to which the terminal sialic acid residue on their complex carbohydrate moieties has been removed. For research use only.
The receptor recognizes terminal galactose and N-acetylgalactosamine units. After ligand binding to the receptor, the resulting complex is internalized and transported to a sorting organelle, where receptor and ligand are disassociated. The receptor then returns to the cell membrane surface.
