Human ASPA Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human ASPA Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Met1-His313, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 37.90 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Aspartoacylase is a ~35 kDa protein. Catalyzes the deacetylation of N-acetylaspartic acid (NAA) to produce acetate and L-aspartate. For research use only.
NAA occurs in high concentration in brain and its hydrolysis NAA plays a significant part in the maintenance of intact white matter. In other tissues it acts as a scavenger of NAA from body fluids.
