Description
Human ASS1 Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human ASS1 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Glu149-Lys412, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 32.3 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Argininosuccinate synthase (ASS1) is a ~46 kDa protein. One of the enzymes of the urea cycle, the metabolic pathway transforming neurotoxic amonia produced by protein catabolism into inocuous urea in the liver of ureotelic animals. For research use only.
Catalyzes the formation of arginosuccinate from aspartate, citrulline and ATP and together with ASL it is responsible for the biosynthesis of arginine in most body tissues.
