Description
Human ATG9B Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human ATG9B Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Arg298-Leu526, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 28.19 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Autophagy-related protein 9B is a ~101 kDa protein. Phospholipid scramblase involved in autophagy by mediating autophagosomal membrane expansion. For research use only.
Cycles between the preautophagosomal structure/phagophore assembly site (PAS) and the cytoplasmic vesicle pool and supplies membrane for the growing autophagosome. Lipid scramblase activity plays a key role in preautophagosomal structure/phagophore assembly by distributing the phospholipids that arrive through ATG2 (ATG2A or ATG2B) from the cytoplasmic to the luminal leaflet of the bilayer, thereby driving autophagosomal membrane expansion. In addition to autophagy, also plays a role in necrotic cell death.
