Description
Human ATP13A1 Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human ATP13A1 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Ser542-Ser722, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 22.29 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Endoplasmic reticulum transmembrane helix translocase (ATP13A1) is a ~132 kDa protein. Endoplasmic reticulum translocase required to remove mitochondrial transmembrane proteins mistargeted to the endoplasmic reticulum. For research use only.
Acts as a dislocase that mediates the ATP-dependent extraction of mislocalized mitochondrial transmembrane proteins from the endoplasmic reticulum membrane. Specifically binds mitochondrial tail-anchored transmembrane proteins: has an atypically large substrate-binding pocket that recognizes and binds moderately hydrophobic transmembranes with short hydrophilic lumenal domains.
