Human AVPR2 Recombinant Protein (N-His-KSI)
Human AVPR2 Recombinant Protein (N-His-KSI) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Leu2-Ser371, with an N-terminal His-KSI tag. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Vasopressin V2 receptor is a ~40 kDa protein. G-protein-coupled receptor for arginine vasopressin, an antidiuretic that promotes renal water reabsorption. For research use only.
Ligand binding causes a conformation change that triggers signaling via guanine nucleotide-binding proteins (G proteins) and modulates the activity of downstream effectors, such as adenylate cyclase (cAMP). AVPR2 is coupled to G(s) G alpha proteins and mediates activation of adenylate cyclase activity.
