Description
Human BCAS2 Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human BCAS2 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Met1-Phe225, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 28.29 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Pre-mRNA-splicing factor SPF27 (BCAS2) is a ~26 kDa protein. Required for pre-mRNA splicing as component of the activated spliceosome. For research use only.
Component of the PRP19-CDC5L complex that forms an integral part of the spliceosome and is required for activating pre-mRNA splicing. May have a scaffolding role in the spliceosome assembly as it contacts all other components of the core complex. The PRP19-CDC5L complex may also play a role in the response to DNA damage (DDR).
