Description
Human BTG2 Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human BTG2 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Met1-Glu125, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 16.23 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Protein BTG2 is a ~17 kDa protein. Anti-proliferative protein; the function is mediated by association with deadenylase subunits of the CCR4-NOT complex. For research use only.
Activates mRNA deadenylation in a CNOT6 and CNOT7-dependent manner. In vitro can inhibit deadenylase activity of CNOT7 and CNOT8. Involved in cell cycle regulation. Could be involved in the growth arrest and differentiation of the neuronal precursors.
