Human CACNA2D2 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Asp291-Leu469, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 22.65 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Voltage-dependent calcium channel subunit alpha-2/delta-2 (CACNA2D2) is a ~129 kDa protein. The alpha-2/delta subunit of voltage-dependent calcium channels regulates calcium current density and activation/inactivation kinetics of the calcium channel. For research use only.
Acts as a regulatory subunit for P/Q-type calcium channel (CACNA1A), N-type (CACNA1B), L-type (CACNA1C OR CACNA1D) and possibly T-type (CACNA1G). Overexpression induces apoptosis.
