Description
Human CADM1 Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human CADM1 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Asn46-Tyr331, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 34.80 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Cell adhesion molecule 1 is a ~48 kDa protein. Mediates homophilic cell-cell adhesion in a Ca(2+)-independent manner. For research use only.
Also mediates heterophilic cell-cell adhesion with CADM3 and NECTIN3 in a Ca(2+)-independent manner. Interaction with CRTAM promotes natural killer (NK) cell cytotoxicity and interferon-gamma (IFN-gamma) secretion by CD8+ cells in vitro as well as NK cell-mediated rejection of tumors expressing CADM1 in vivo. In mast cells, may mediate attachment to and promote communication with nerves. CADM1, together with MITF, is essential for development and survival of mast cells in vivo.
