Human CD113/NECTIN3 Recombinant Protein (N-His)

Human CD113/NECTIN3 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Thr171-Ser356, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 22.84 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Nectin-3 (CD113/NECTIN3) is a ~61 kDa protein. Cell adhesion molecule that promotes cell-cell adhesion through heterophilic trans-interactions with nectins-like or other nectins, such as trans-interaction with NECTIN2 at Sertoli-spermatid junctions. For research use only.

Trans-interaction with PVR induces activation of CDC42 and RAC small G proteins through common signaling molecules such as SRC and RAP1. Induces endocytosis-mediated down-regulation of PVR from the cell surface, resulting in reduction of cell movement and proliferation. Involved in axon guidance by promoting contacts between the commissural axons and the floor plate cells. Also involved in the formation of cell-cell junctions, including adherens junctions and synapses.
