Human CD124/IL4R Recombinant Protein (C-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in mammalian cells, spanning Met1-His232, with a C-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 27.26 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Interleukin-4 receptor subunit alpha (CD124/IL4R) is a ~89 kDa protein. Receptor for both interleukin 4 and interleukin 13. For research use only.
Couples to the JAK1/2/3-STAT6 pathway. The IL4 response is involved in promoting Th2 differentiation. The IL4/IL13 responses are involved in regulating IgE production and, chemokine and mucus production at sites of allergic inflammation. In certain cell types, can signal through activation of insulin receptor substrates, IRS1/IRS2. CD124 is the therapeutic target of dupilumab (Dupixent).
