Human CD147/BSG Recombinant Protein (C-His)

Human CD147/BSG Recombinant Protein (C-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in mammalian cells, spanning Met1-His205, with a C-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 23.07 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Basigin (CD147/BSG) is a ~22 kDa protein. Signaling receptor for cyclophilins, essential for PPIA/CYPA and PPIB/CYPB-dependent signaling related to chemotaxis and adhesion of immune cells. For research use only.

Plays an important role in targeting the monocarboxylate transporters SLC16A1/GLUT1, SLC16A3, SLC16A8, SLC16A11 and SLC16A12 to the plasma membrane. Acts as a coreceptor for vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 2 (KDR/VEGFR2) in endothelial cells enhancing its VEGFA-mediated activation and downstream signaling. Promotes angiogenesis through EPAS1/HIF2A-mediated up-regulation of VEGFA and KDR/VEGFR2 in endothelial cells. Plays a role in neurite outgrowth.
