Description
Human CD155/PVR Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human CD155/PVR Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Trp21-Asn343, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 37.38 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Poliovirus receptor (CD155/PVR) is a ~45 kDa protein. Mediates NK cell adhesion and triggers NK cell effector functions. For research use only.
Binds two different NK cell receptors: CD96 and CD226. These interactions accumulates at the cell-cell contact site, leading to the formation of a mature immunological synapse between NK cell and target cell. This may trigger adhesion and secretion of lytic granules and IFN-gamma and activate cytotoxicity of activated NK cells. May also promote NK cell-target cell modular exchange, and PVR transfer to the NK cell.
