Human CD182/CXCR2 Recombinant Protein (N-GST) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Met1-Leu57, with an N-terminal GST tag. Predicted molecular weight: 33.44 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. C-X-C chemokine receptor type 2 (CD182/CXCR2) is a ~40 kDa protein. Receptor for interleukin-8 which is a powerful neutrophil chemotactic factor. For research use only.
Binding of IL-8 to the receptor causes activation of neutrophils. This response is mediated via a G-protein that activates a phosphatidylinositol-calcium second messenger system. Binds to IL-8 with high affinity. Also binds with high affinity to CXCL3, GRO/MGSA and NAP-2.
