Human CD2 Recombinant Protein (C-His)
Human CD2 Recombinant Protein (C-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in mammalian cells, spanning Met1-Asp209, with a C-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 24.78 kDa. Purity: >95% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. T-cell surface antigen CD2 (LFA-2/OX-34) is a ~39 kDa protein. CD2 interacts with lymphocyte function-associated antigen CD58 (LFA-3) and CD48/BCM1 to mediate adhesion between T-cells and other cell types. For research use only.
CD2 is implicated in the triggering of T-cells, the cytoplasmic domain is implicated in the signaling function.
