Human CD202b/TEK Recombinant Protein (C-His)

Human CD202b/TEK Recombinant Protein (C-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in mammalian cells, spanning Met1-Lys745, with a C-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 83.77 kDa. Purity: >95% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Angiopoietin-1 receptor (CD202b/TEK) is a ~125 kDa protein. Tyrosine-protein kinase that acts as a cell-surface receptor for ANGPT1, ANGPT2 and ANGPT4 and regulates angiogenesis, endothelial cell survival, proliferation, migration, adhesion and cell spreading, reorganization of the actin cytoskeleton, but also maintenance of vascular quiescence. For research use only.

Has anti-inflammatory effects by preventing the leakage of pro-inflammatory plasma proteins and leukocytes from blood vessels. Required for normal angiogenesis and heart development during embryogenesis. Required for post-natal hematopoiesis. After birth, activates or inhibits angiogenesis, depending on the context.
