Description
Human CD204/MSR1 Recombinant Protein (C-His)
Human CD204/MSR1 Recombinant Protein (C-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in mammalian cells, spanning Lys77-Leu451, with a C-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 43.95 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Macrophage scavenger receptor types I and II (CD204/MSR1) is a ~49 kDa protein. Membrane glycoproteins implicated in the pathologic deposition of cholesterol in arterial walls during atherogenesis. For research use only.
Two types of receptor subunits exist. These receptors mediate the endocytosis of a diverse group of macromolecules, including modified low density lipoproteins (LDL). Isoform III does not internalize acetylated LDL.
