Description
Human CD209 Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human CD209 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Glu70-Ala404, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 40.59 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. CD209 antigen is a ~45 kDa protein. Pathogen-recognition receptor expressed on the surface of immature dendritic cells (DCs) and involved in initiation of primary immune response. For research use only.
Thought to mediate the endocytosis of pathogens which are subsequently degraded in lysosomal compartments. The receptor returns to the cell membrane surface and the pathogen-derived antigens are presented to resting T-cells via MHC class II proteins to initiate the adaptive immune response.
