Description
Human CD292/BMPR1A Recombinant Protein (C-His)
Human CD292/BMPR1A Recombinant Protein (C-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in mammalian cells, spanning Met1-Arg152, with a C-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 17.86 kDa. Purity: >95% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Bone morphogenetic protein receptor type-1A (CD292/BMPR1A) is a ~60 kDa protein. On ligand binding, forms a receptor complex consisting of two type II and two type I transmembrane serine/threonine kinases. For research use only.
Type II receptors phosphorylate and activate type I receptors which autophosphorylate, then bind and activate SMAD transcriptional regulators. Receptor for BMP2, BMP4, GDF5 and GDF6. Positively regulates chondrocyte differentiation through GDF5 interaction. Mediates induction of adipogenesis by GDF6.
