Human CD358/TNFRSF21 Recombinant Protein (C-His)

Human CD358/TNFRSF21 Recombinant Protein (C-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in mammalian cells, spanning Gln42-His349, with a C-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 36.66 kDa. Purity: >95% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily member 21 (CD358/TNFRSF21) is a ~71 kDa protein. Promotes apoptosis, possibly via a pathway that involves the activation of NF-kappa-B. For research use only.

Can also promote apoptosis mediated by BAX and by the release of cytochrome c from the mitochondria into the cytoplasm. Trophic-factor deprivation triggers the cleavage of surface APP by beta-secretase to release sAPP-beta which is further cleaved to release an N-terminal fragment of APP (N-APP). Negatively regulates oligodendrocyte survival, maturation and myelination. Plays a role in signaling cascades triggered by stimulation of T-cell receptors, in the adaptive immune response and in the regulation of T-cell differentiation and proliferation.
