Human CD62P/SELP Recombinant Protein (C-His)

Human CD62P/SELP Recombinant Protein (C-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in mammalian cells, spanning Met1-Ala771, with a C-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 85.74 kDa. Purity: >80% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. P-selectin (CD62P/SELP) is a ~90 kDa protein. Ca(2+)-dependent receptor for myeloid cells that binds to carbohydrates on neutrophils and monocytes. For research use only.

Mediates the interaction of activated endothelial cells or platelets with leukocytes. The ligand recognized is sialyl-Lewis X. Mediates rapid rolling of leukocyte rolling over vascular surfaces during the initial steps in inflammation through interaction with SELPLG. Mediates cell-cell interactions and cell adhesion via the interaction with integrin alpha-IIb/beta3 (ITGA2B:ITGB3) and integrin alpha-V/beta-3 (ITGAV:ITGB3).
