Description
Human CD7 Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human CD7 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Ala26-Pro180, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 18.73 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. T-cell antigen CD7 is a ~25 kDa protein. Transmembrane glycoprotein expressed by T-cells and natural killer (NK) cells and their precursors. For research use only.
Plays a costimulatory role in T-cell activation upon binding to its ligand K12/SECTM1. In turn, mediates the production of cytokines such as IL-2. On resting NK-cells, CD7 activation results in a significant induction of interferon-gamma levels.
