Human CDC20 Recombinant Protein (N-His)

Human CDC20 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Gln218-Arg471, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 30.01 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Cell division cycle protein 20 homolog (CDC20) is a ~54 kDa protein. Substrate-specific adapter of the anaphase promoting complex/cyclosome (APC/C) complex that confers substrate specificity by binding to substrates and targeting them to the APC/C complex for ubiquitination and degradation. For research use only.

Recognizes and binds the destruction box (D box) on protein substrates. Involved in the metaphase/anaphase transition of cell cycle. Is regulated by MAD2L1: in metaphase the MAD2L1-CDC20-APC/C ternary complex is inactive and in anaphase the CDC20-APC/C binary complex is active in degrading substrates. The CDC20-APC/C complex positively regulates the formation of synaptic vesicle clustering at active zone to the presynaptic membrane in postmitotic neurons.
