Description
Human CDCA8/Borealin Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human CDCA8/Borealin Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Met1-Ala140, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 18.39 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Borealin is a ~31 kDa protein. Component of the chromosomal passenger complex (CPC), a complex that acts as a key regulator of mitosis. For research use only.
The CPC complex has essential functions at the centromere in ensuring correct chromosome alignment and segregation and is required for chromatin-induced microtubule stabilization and spindle assembly. Major effector of the TTK kinase in the control of attachment-error-correction and chromosome alignment.
