Description
Human CDIPT Recombinant Protein (N-His-KSI)
Human CDIPT Recombinant Protein (N-His-KSI) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning [Phe49-Arg73] & [Ser117-Pro139] & [Thr196-Lys213], with an N-terminal His-KSI tag. Predicted molecular weight: 23.35 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. CDP-diacylglycerol--inositol 3-phosphatidyltransferase (CDIPT) is a ~23 kDa protein. Catalyzes the biosynthesis of phosphatidylinositol (PtdIns) as well as PtdIns:inositol exchange reaction. For research use only.
May thus act to reduce an excessive cellular PtdIns content. The exchange activity is due to the reverse reaction of PtdIns synthase and is dependent on CMP, which is tightly bound to the enzyme.
