Description
Human CDK7 Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human CDK7 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Met1-Phe346, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 41.20 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Cyclin-dependent kinase 7 is a ~39 kDa protein. Serine/threonine kinase involved in cell cycle control and in RNA polymerase II-mediated RNA transcription. For research use only.
Cyclin-dependent kinases (CDKs) are activated by the binding to a cyclin and mediate the progression through the cell cycle. Each different complex controls a specific transition between 2 subsequent phases in the cell cycle. Required for both activation and complex formation of CDK1/cyclin-B during G2-M transition, and for activation of CDK2/cyclins during G1-S transition (but not complex formation). CDK7 is the catalytic subunit of the CDK-activating kinase (CAK) complex.
